You’ve never liked Line skis. You wear a belt and hitch your pants high enough that your underwear doesn’t show and your cuffs don’t turn to shreds under your heels . . . Hey, times are changing and the new Line Skis Optic 114 Skis are built just for you, the guy who rips clean turns from the cornice at speed and still has enough left in the tank to air out that rock line with room to spare. If anything, the Optic (the Blade moniker is history), is on the demanding side of the freeride performance spectrum, with an Aspen Veneer and Titanal build and a solidity underfoot that must be skied to be believed. Don’t just take our word for it, try the Optic 114 and come away a convert.

Rocker Type
      Â
Early Rise™–        Tip and tail lift away from the snow to bring the contact points closer to the center of the ski. This increases a ski’s lift in deep snow and allows it to engage more quickly on hardpack.
      Â
      Â
   Rocker Proflie–        11mm Tip / 3mm Camber / 10mm Tail
      Â
Flex
      Â
Directional Flex–        The softer tip floats and initiates turns easily while the stiffer tail provides power, stability and high speed control.
      Â
Sidecut
      Â
5-Cutâ„¢ Geometry–        Five different radiuses are blended into the ski’s sidecut. The result? A wide variety of turn shapes and an intuitive feel.
      Â
Core
      Â
Aspen Veneer Core–        An amalgam of Aspen Stringers brought together for a lightweight, snappy, and engaged feel.
      Â
Laminates
      Â
Gas Pedal Metal Overdrive™–        Titanal focused across the ski width provides increased edge grip and torsional stability while maintaining a lively feel along the length of the ski. Two independent tip and tail Titanal pieces add power and energy.
      Â
Sidewalls
      Â
Capwall™Construction–        Combining the precision of sidewall underfoot, and the lightweight, durable performance of cap construction in the tip and tail, Capwall™ Construction provides the best of both worlds.
      Â
Base
      Â
Fatty™ Base | 1.7mm–        30% thicker base dramatically increases durability and tuning life the skis.
      Â
Edges
      Â
Fatty™ Edge | 2.5mm x 2.2mm–        30% thicker edge dramatically increases durability and tuning life of these skis.
      Â
Additional Features
      Â
   Stance Back from Center–        60mm
      Â
Binding Compatibility
      Â
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

-    Terrain:    All-Mountain, Big Mountain                                    All-MountainAll-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.                    Big MountainBig mountain skis are designed for charging big lines with high speeds and big airs. These skis varry in width from wide, powder-oriented skis for skiing Alaska spines to narrower, mixed condition skis for ripping the beat up headwall at your local mountain. Skis in this category tend to be on the stiffer side, often with more rocker in the tip and less in the tail.           Â
