Rocker Type

Trüe Camber– Good old standard camber, which provides the stability and pop many shreds can’t live without. The amount of snap and support you get from a cambered board is unrivaled by any other camber design.

Flex

Directional All Terrain Flex– Nitro’s most versatile flex pattern, combining their signature all mountain pop with smooth response, allowing you to tear up the entire mountain.

Flex Rating– 7 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff)

Shape

Progressive Sidecut– A larger radius in the front, blended into a tighter one towards the tail. The progressive sidecut makes accelerating out of turns a breeze, while maintaining a catch-free nose area.

Koroyd® Powerlite Core– The highest grade of ultra-lightweight poplar wood makes for the perfect ride with lots of pop and unmatched strength at a minimum weight. Korroyd® is approximately 70% lighter than standard balsa wood, with unique energy absorption properties and no loss in strength or flex.

Diamond Laminates– Well-balanced layers of carbon fiber establish a new level in performance. More snap and liveliness provide a smooth, powerful, and effortless ride.

Terrain: Splitboarding SplitboardingA splitboard snowboard is built specifically for the backcountry rider. Splitboards are designed to break down into two separate halves for touring and uphill travel (with climbing skins). Special bindings are required as well. Once you’ve reached the top of the terrain feature, you reconnect your splitboard for the ride back downhill. However, it’s important to note that you will need appropriate backcountry tools, knowledge of the backcountry, weather and snow conditions and climbing skins to safely take advantage of the freedom of a splitboard.

Ability Level: Advanced-Expert Advanced-ExpertWhether you charge the steepest lines, hit the biggest jumps in the park or carve with race-like precision, advanced to expert level skis, snowboards, boots and bindings are for the more aggressive rider. In skis and snowboards, you’ll often find layers of metal, carbon or other stringers for rigidity and power, while advanced to expert level boots and bindings are usually on the stiffer side of the spectrum for rebound and precision steering.

Rocker Type: Camber CamberCamber is the traditional profile for snowboards, and still popular among high-level park and pipe riders because it offers maximum energy and pop. A cambered board has a smooth arch underfoot and touches near the tip and tail when unweighted; when the rider’s weight is added, it provides a long, evenly pressured running surface and edge.

Flex Rating: Stiff StiffThe amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers’ number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
