Smart-AntennaTechnology™– The integrated Smart-Antenna Technology™ analyzes the position of the beacon’s antennas after an avalanche and automatically switches to the best transmission antenna. The result is almost double the range in the worst reception areas. Smart-Antenna Technology™ is compatible with all avalanche transceivers using the international standard 457kHz transmitter frequency.
Switchover– Equipped with the latest digital 3-antenna technology and a motion sensor, the transceiver will automatically revert to transmit mode in case of a secondary avalanche. If the transmitter registers no movement for more than 120 seconds while searching, it automatically switches back to transmission mode.

Beacons Require Training– Wearing an avalanche beacon is no guarantee of safety in avalanche terrain. We recommend that backcountry travelers take an AIARE Level One class or the equivalent, and practice the skills they learn there regularly with their partners.
RECCO® Reflector Inside– RECCO® capability allows rescue professionals with the proper equipment to quickly find victims. This backup technology is used by patrollers and rescue teams worldwide, but is not a substitute for learning and training with your beacon. You will not be able to locate a RECCO® device using a 457kHz transceiver.
