The ability to handle anything the mountain throws at you with power, precision and ease sets the Völkl Revolt 104 apart from the rest of the herd, making this one of the best all-rounders out there for the do-it-all freerider with a bag of tricks up their sleeve. Anything from groomers to a foot of fresh is fair game for the Revolt 104, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better daily driver for the progressive skier.

Rocker Type

Tip & Tail Rocker– Bends up only in the shovel and tail zones, with a camber shape in the middle.

Sidecut

3D Radius Sidecut– Three radii in one ski shape deliver maximum versatility – long radii at the tip and tail for stability and smoothness, and a short radius in the mid-body allows the skier to switch from long arcs to short turns at will, at any speed.

Core

Multilayer Woodcore– A combination of beech and poplar results in an extremely durable wood core composed of hard wood in the binding area and lighter wood surrounding it.

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Terrain: Park & Pipe, All-Mountain, Big Mountain Park & PipePark and pipe skis, often called freestyle skis, are for skiers who spend the majority of their time on jumps, rails, and jibs of all kinds. Traditionally park and pipe skis have narrower waists with full camber profiles, but this category is incorporating more rocker patterns and different shapes. You will almost always find these skis with twin tips as well as other park specific features like thicker, more durable edges, dense extruded bases, and butter zones. All-MountainAll-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm. Big MountainBig mountain skis are designed for charging big lines with high speeds and big airs. These skis varry in width from wide, powder-oriented skis for skiing Alaska spines to narrower, mixed condition skis for ripping the beat up headwall at your local mountain. Skis in this category tend to be on the stiffer side, often with more rocker in the tip and less in the tail.

Skis: No Bindings

Ability Level: Advanced-Expert Advanced-ExpertWhether you charge the steepest lines, hit the biggest jumps in the park or carve with race-like precision, advanced to expert level skis, snowboards, boots and bindings are for the more aggressive rider. In skis and snowboards, you’ll often find layers of metal, carbon or other stringers for rigidity and power, while advanced to expert level boots and bindings are usually on the stiffer side of the spectrum for rebound and precision steering.

Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker Rocker/Camber/RockerRocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as well as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.

Tail Type: Full Twin Tip Full Twin TipDesinged to allow you to ski backwards, full twin tips are found primarily on park & pipe skis and freestyle powder skis. More and more, we are seeing twin tips on all-mountain skis of all abilities, as it makes it a little easier to get around, and for the most part does not inhibit forward skiing.
